The Physician’s Institute received recognition and awards at the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education annual meeting in San Francisco in January. Bob Addleton, EVP of the Institute, has been elected to a three-year term on the Alliance for CME’s Board of Directors. Bob received his second “President’s Award” in recognition for his service to the ACME.
The Physicians’ Institute received the “Great Idea Award” awarded by the State Medical Society member section of the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education. The Institute is the first-ever recipient of this award, which is being presented in recognition of the development of the collaborative grants model.
The Physicians’ Institute also received the "Award for Outstanding CME Collaboration" from the Alliance for Continuing Medical Education for participating as a partner in the national Cease Smoking Today Collaborative.
In addition to receiving two awards at the Alliance for CME annual meeting, the Physicians’ Institute presented an “Excellence Award” for projects of exceptional quality to The Southeast Permanente Medical Group, Inc. in Georgia and to the Oklahoma Foundation for Medical Quality in collaboration with Integris Baptist Medical Center.
