Improving medical practice for physicians and their patients
ALERT!: Application process now closed - This Grant was open to AHME members only
CloseThe Association of Hospital Medical Education was awarded a grant from Pfizer to support PI-CME initiatives. Each grantee was required to identify professional practice gaps in their local area and provide needs assessment data to justify their proposal. Each organization identified its own clinical area of concern. This information formed the basis for developing local PI-CME activities.
The Physician’s Institute for Excellence in Medicine is managing the AHME initiative in addition to providing performance improvement training, resources, and educational design assistance.
Grant applications were awarded in March 2010 to 16 organizations. Grantees have approximately 12 months to complete their projects.
