Howard M. Maziar, MD
Dr. Maziar is a practicing psychiatrist in Atlanta. Dr. Maziar received his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia and his psychiatric residency at the University of Maryland. He served on the clinical faculty in the Emory University Department of Psychiatry, and was a staff psychiatrist at the Atlanta Veterans Administration (VA) Hospital from 1976 to 1981.
Dr. Maziar has served in many leadership capacities for the Georgia Psychiatric Physicians Association, currently serving as Vice President. In 2009, he was recognized by his peers as GPPA's "Psychiatrist of the Year". Dr. Maziar is also a recent graduate of MAG’s Physicians Leadership Academy, Also in 2009, Dr. Maziar was appointed by Governor Sonny Perdue to serve on the Georgia Physicians Partnership.
